Powell Peralta was founded by George Powell and Stacy Peralta in 1978. But they rose to prominence in the 80s as skateboarding began coming into its own as a legitimate sport. Back then the company hosted the Bones Brigade, a team comprising the era's top competitors. They continue to make high quality decks and equipment as Powell, Bones Bearings and RollerBones. Their team includes names like Steve Caballero, Charlie Blair, and Kevin Harris.
